Founder Friday: Cynthia Plotch & Jamie Norwood, Co-Founders of Stix 👩⚕️
Issue #35
Founder Friday is a content series from SuperAngel.Fund highlighting companies in our portfolio and the inspiring founders behind them.
In our 35th edition we are featuring Cynthia Plotch & Jamie Norwood, Co-Founders of Stix, the modern women’s health company with an education-first approach to commerce.
If you haven’t heard of it yet, you will soon…because Stix is on a mission to disrupt the $40B women’s health industry by providing women the health solutions they deserve. They are doing this via products, an education-first approach to commerce, and community leading to a delightful purchasing experience, discretion, and an empowering brand built on comfort.
But who exactly is behind this vision to become the most trusted brand consumers turn to in their most vulnerable moments? That would be Cynthia Plotch and Jamie Norwood. The two met as entrepreneurial fellows at Venture for America and following that experience, they were part of the founding team at Hungry Harvest.
Through curated educational health resources, content and community, Stix builds deep relationships with their customers, providing women with the best possible care and guiding them to better patient outcomes. Since launching with a DTC pregnancy test, they’ve expanded their product offering to include 10 additional SKUs that address a wide range of women’s health areas, including: Fertility & Pregnancy, UTIs, Yeast Infections & more. No surprise they’ve quickly established themselves as one of the most trusted brands in the category (👋 Forbes, Shape, Rolling Stone, WSJ, POPSUGAR, Vogue). Jamie and Cynthia are ready to lead Stix into a new era of women’s health: one defined by education, comfort, and trust.
